WRESTLING EMPHASIS :

      Takedowns & Pins
  • This summer's AIA camps specialize in takedowns (which include throws) and pinning combinations. Time constraints limit our ability to thoroughly cover all aspects of the sport. Our staff help wrestlers develop and perfect new wrestling skills, and provide biblical, Christian perspective on athletic competition.

       Instructions

  • Each wrestler receives individual instruction and attention during the week
  • Groups are divided by age and experience
  • Freestyle and Greco-Roman: we teach basic rules and moves applicable to scholastic wrestling.
  • Campers view videos on world wrestling competition and receive information on how to safely cut weight, diet and weight lift.
  • Campers are taught biblical principles that relate to athletics in nightly discussion groups.
  • There are morning, afternoon, and evening wrestling sessions. Commuters will recieve lunch & dinner.
  • All campers must abide by camp rules and procedures of dicipline.
Camp T-shirts will be given to each camper registered by May 15th.
